Little Leo the Astronaut put on his soft, starry pajamas and climbed into his spaceship bed, which was shaped just like a rocket ship. With a gentle click, his room began to shimmer like the night sky. Tonight was a special mission: Leo was going to visit every planet to tuck them into bed. First, he flew past Mercury, which was already dreaming in its cozy, sun-warmed blanket. 'Goodnight, Mercury,' Leo whispered, giving a small wave. Next, he zipped over to Venus, who was hiding behind a soft, velvet cloud. Leo giggled and whispered, 'Sleep tight, sweet Venus.' The ship floated smoothly toward Earth, where the blue oceans were calm and the forests were quiet. 'Goodnight, my beautiful home,' Leo murmured as he saw the twinkling porch lights below. He continued his journey, passing the glowing rings of Saturn, which looked just like a giant, shimmering hula hoop ready to be put away for the night. He flew past Jupiter, who was resting behind a blanket of swirling, golden mist. Everywhere he went, the stars blinked back at him like sleepy eyes, glowing softly in the velvet dark. The universe felt very big, but Leo felt very safe and warm inside his ship. He realized that even the biggest planets need to rest and recharge their light for a brand-new day. As he steered his ship back toward his own bedroom, he felt his own eyelids growing heavy. He landed softly back on his soft mattress, snuggling into his blanket. 'Goodnight, stars. Goodnight, planets. Goodnight, me,' he whispered. His mission was complete, and his heart was full of wonder as he drifted off into the most peaceful, star-filled slumber imaginable. The universe was quiet, and it was time for dreams to take flight.
