Space Bedtime

Little Leo was a brave astronaut in cozy star-patterned pajamas. When the moon hung high and round, it was time for his nightly mission across the galaxy. He hopped into his rocket ship, built entirely of soft pillows and blankets, and prepared for liftoff. With a gentle hum, the ship drifted into the velvet night. First, Leo visited Mercury, a tiny world of silver dust, and whispered, Goodnight, little planet. Mercury shimmered softly in reply. Next, he sailed past bright Venus, glowing like a warm lantern. Goodnight, Venus, Leo said, waving a sleepy hand. Onward he floated to Mars, the dusty red traveler, and then to giant Jupiter, who hummed a deep, rhythmic lullaby that shook Leo’s rocket just enough to rock him gently. Saturn spun its rings like a spinning top slowing down for a nap, and Leo gave a sleepy salute as he drifted past the icy rings of Uranus and Neptune. Finally, he reached the deep, quiet expanse where the stars twinkled like tiny nightlights. He gathered a handful of stardust, sprinkling it like magic dreams across the universe. As he traveled back toward his bedroom, the galaxy seemed to tuck him into a warm blanket of shadows and starlight. His rocket touched down softly on the soft rug by his bed. The journey was long, but Leo knew the most important part of exploring the wonders of the universe was coming back home to rest. He climbed into his soft bed, pulled his covers up to his chin, and looked out the window at the distant, glowing dots. The planets were resting, the stars were dimming, and the little astronaut knew that even the biggest, brightest worlds needed time to sleep. With a happy sigh, Leo closed his eyes, ready to dream of new adventures waiting for tomorrow. Goodnight, space, he whispered, drifting into a peaceful, starry sleep.
